1 Corinthians 4:10-14 (New Living Translation)

10 Our dedication to Christ makes us look like fools, but you claim to be so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are so powerful! You are honored, but we are ridiculed. 11 Even now we go hungry and thirsty, and we don’t have enough clothes to keep warm. We are often beaten and have no home. 12 We work wearily with our own hands to earn our living. We bless those who curse us. We are patient with those who abuse us. 13 We appeal gently when evil things are said about us. Yet we are treated like the world’s garbage, like everybody’s trash—right up to the present moment.

14 I am not writing these things to shame you, but to warn you as my beloved children.

Ezekiel 3:18 (NLT)

18 If I warn the wicked, saying, ‘You are under the penalty of death,’ but you fail to deliver the warning, they will die in their sins. And I will hold you responsible for their deaths.
Part Two:

It was about a week ago, and I was watching the news and reading some various articles. One of the things that I was made aware of was the State of California and how that they are so determined to close the churches. Next, I was observing some of the news concerning the radical Leftists and this determination to create a new society that is so representative of an Anti Christ State. I mean, as you witness what has been going on around the country, it makes you aware that we are or have become an anti Christian society.

Well, as I have observed these changes so often in the last couple of decades, I am always reminded of the first church that I belonged to. You see, I was a street kid from Detroit, and after an overdose, God spoke to me in the hospital and told me to leave Detroit and to move up to a community of young Christians who had joined together and were trying to emulate the Early Church written about in the Book of Acts.
This was during the Charismatic Revival that had hit the colleges in the late sixties and early seventies. I believe that it was the unity of us as believers that had empowered so strongly  the Charismatic gifts in which we all shared. Later, I spent almost four decades witnessing the traditional Charismatic and Pentecostal churches and I never saw any gifts as powerful as what I experienced in that community. In fact, it was almost as different as night and day.

Most of the prophecy that we were hearing from heaven had to deal with the future warnings concerning society and what the devil's intentions were to destroy it. We heard prophetic utterances on how the family would be attacked, on how the Patriarchal family would be attacked, on how the biblical morals would be attacked and lastly on how our Faith would be attacked.

In other words, we were constantly warned and encouraged to be protective of our Faith, our values and our Godly morals that dictated our society at the time. You see, back then there was no suggestion of alternative life styles. Society understood that there was a union between a man and a woman and under the Biblical principles that we were all committed to upholding and living under there was just no further argument.

I will never forget one of the phrases that was constantly expressed through the prophetic utterances that were given to us.

We were constantly encouraged to be a future, "Bulwark against Evil."

To this day, I can recall the exact words spoken, so many times, "I am calling you to become a bulwark against evil."

Well, I was a street kid from Detroit, I didn't even know what the hell a "Bulwark," was. Nevertheless, it didn't take a whole lot of figuring out. God was emphasizing how the devil was determined to come against any and all who would be expressing "Faith," in Christ. God was telling us over and over that our "Faith," just as in the Early Church would one day be challenged by the very American society that we were living under. We were simply told that there would come a day when America would no longer be favorable toward our Christianity.

This was why years later when I witnessed some very popular Charismatic leaders answer the "Press," as to whether they would permit a homo sexual marriage in their church or a couple to attend their congregations, I was immediately reminded of what God always emphasized back in our community.

"I want you to be a bulwark against evil," he stated time and again.

Well, I don't blame the pastors or the leaders who answered those trick questions.

You see, they never had the direct teaching that a group of Catholic Charismatic students and young people had who heard from heaven. No, in later years, when I came over to the traditional Charismatic church, about the only prophecies that I heard was that, "God wants to make you prosperous and rich beyond your wildest dreams."

So, you see, what the traditional Charismatic Church did as the American society was burning was to play the "prosperity fiddle."

Thus, when you look around you understand that the "CHURCH," failed to be a BULWARK against evil, instead it co partnered with it.

A few days ago, I wrote a paper and I became disillusioned and wasn't going to publish it, nevertheless, I heard a sermon today and the Lord was exhorting me to be consistent. You see, I have become so ignored by church leadership and so disillusioned with the church over the years, that many times, I see no point to even care about America anymore.

I have asked God too many times to count, "Why should I put myself out to public ridicule, to be thought insane, lazy or to make myself a target of slander and lies.

Obviously, our church leaders don't give a damn about American society or of the multitudes who have walked away from the church, so why should I?"

In actuality, though, many are simply analogous of the Trump haters.

You see, by all appearances, it looks as if many of the past church leaders have only been interested in self power and wealth. They don't care about the church and in many cases would just as soon see it destroy itself rather than to have a righteous leader such as the Holy Spirit leading it.

Many of these leaders no longer know how to preach righteousness, but substitute it with the only preaching that they understand which is contributing to a more massive structure based on a foundation of brick and mortar.
Yes, no different than many politicians who would be just as happy to see the country be destroyed rather than to have a proven leader in office for another four years.

The silence that I hear today is the same silence that has been "spoken" throughout history. This is why men like Stalin, Hitler and so many other anti Christ have appeared on the world stages and why Godly countries can become susceptible to overt evil societies. Nevertheless, most in America don't believe that it can happen in this country, yet it is happening more and more, as we speak.

In my paper from the other day, I tell of an episode in my life where I was confronted with my sin. Tonight, I believe the Holy Spirit would have me share three instances that eventually brought me to Christ.

Number one was when I was confronted by a Gas Station owner concerning my sin.

I wrote about this in the other paper that I am publishing with this.

Number two, was a few years after that when I had left Detroit and had hitch-hiked to California for a summer.  I had never been in a Rescue Mission, but was on the street and directed to go to one for a night's sleep. I got to the Rescue Mission in the Mission District of San Francisco and as a teenager was a little intimidated by all these homeless and street people. As is customary, They preach a Gospel Message before they feed you dinner and then after dinner you retire to your beds. Well, many of these guys weren't too fond of the Gospel message, as they just wanted to eat.

Well, the preacher preaches and finally gives an altar call. Well, I had never been in a church other than the Catholic church and I had really never heard the gospel. To this day, I couldn't even tell you what the man preached, but I will never forget that altar call. The preacher gave an altar call and it was as if there was an invisible man trying to push my body forward to go to the altar. I would have no part though. I was determined that come hell or high water, I was not about to walk up front and go to the altar.

So, this preacher gave the call and a few men went forward. Nonetheless, he wasn't satisfied, so he says, "No, no, there is somebody else that God is calling to come forward."

Well, I was terrified, but I was not about to come forward, and then a few more men came forward. Meanwhile, all this time, I am petrified and it was as if a magnet was drawing me forward, yet I wouldn't budge an inch. Now, it has been like ten minutes or so, and some of these old guys were getting mad.

"Hey, we came here to eat, C'mon you never take this long, what is going on?"

Nonetheless, this preacher was tenacious, he was like a Bull Dog who refuses to give up that bone. So, here I am standing next to all these homeless guys from San Francisco, some haven't shaved in years, some were in clothes that were a decade old, many of them growling about the preacher, and I am standing there terrified.

Not because I was intimidated by these homeless, that I seldom had ever had any contact with, but I was terrified of that preacher up there.
When he spoke that call those words had gone right to my heart and I knew that I knew that I was the one who he was holding up every one's dinner over, nevertheless, I wouldn't budge.

To this day, I can recall his words, he said, "Now, you all know me, I come to preach here all the time, and I never do this, but there is somebody that God is calling to come to this altar..."

Anyways, it was a many years before I ever spent another night in a Rescue Mission.

The third time that I had an encounter with the gospel, was once when I was hitch-hiking through Indiana. My drugs had taken a hold on me and I just felt as if I had to get out of the city and away from the temptations.

It was a young Black man that picked me up somewhere in Indiana and he shared the Gospel with me and then prayed over me before we departed from each other. The only thing that I can recall about him was that he had said he was going to Rice University and it was a black car. Nevertheless, when I got out of his car I felt different and I have always recalled him as having a huge impact on my later conversion.

A few years later, I had a cousin who talked to me about Jesus, as our families shared Christmas together. It was this cousin who opened his heart and household and brought me up to that first church community.

I was born again one night in a Catholic Graveyard, and had my next encounter with God waking up in a Detroit hospital after a drug overdose.

The reason why I felt urged to share all of those experiences was because I believe that if it hadn't been for that Gas Station owner being so confrontational I might have died of an overdose before those others took place.

You see, it wasn't even a preacher that caused me to take concern for my life. It was the owner of a Filing Station who sold gasoline for a living.

This man had finally had enough and he said to himself, "I am going to confront that man concerning his contempt and his loss of a moral compass."

So, what I am writing, what God is trying to explain to our American preachers is that you have to be confrontational with the sinner.
God is saying, "You have to make these people aware of their sins."

Do you understand what I am saying?

We have all kinds of young people out in the streets, trying to burn down Police precincts and in their minds, many of them believe it to be right?

You see, our preachers have been so preoccupied by building huge massive ministries that many of them have forgotten the mission. The mission is to confront the sinner and to let them know that the behavior is wrong. They are not all martyrs for a cause of injustice, they are felons trying to burn down police precincts and blockading the exits in order to murder human beings.

Do you understand what I am saying?

Our churches have done such a lousy job that the majority of society isn't even sure what "SIN" is anymore?
Again, I want to refer to the convention of church leaders that I witnessed last week.

They were all silent!

Our leaders are so afraid to say anything they would rather the country destroy itself than to speak of offending some lone individual.
And you all don't believe that one day God is going to call you to accountability?

What our country needs right now is more Gas Station owners and a whole lot fewer preachers.

Post Script:

Last night, I posted these two papers and a few hours later two police were ambushed and shot in California. Soon, the protesters had shown up at the hospital and were trying to block the entrances while chanting that they wanted the officers to die.

Our young people are being educated by a news media that is favorable to the Leftists, by a Social Media that is against the churches and by a band of Hollywood late night comedian talk show hosts that dictate what is cool and acceptable to society.

This is wrong, our young people don't know what SIN is because our preachers have been too busy removing it from our vocabulary.

"How much farther is our society going to decline before any of our preaches begin to preach against 'Sin' again?"

This is the question that the church should be asking of it's leaders.

The greatest thing that could happen to our churches right now would be for the government to suspend the tax exempt status of the churches.

You see, this is what Jesus spoke about in the Gospel's when he talked about the "love of money."

The church needs to choose whether it is going to continue to serve the Master of Mammon and to remain silent or if it is going to REPENT and begin to serve the churches rightful Savior and Master called Jesus.

You see, forty years ago, when my community was hearing those prophecies we knew that we weren't suppose to cede any spiritual land to the enemy. Apparently though, the rest of the church had never received the same message because over the years, I have watched the church slowly cede almost all of it's authority in exchange for monetary profitability.

The church has failed to become that wall or bulwark against evil, but rather it has shrank in fear and has compromised it's own authority for a weekly pay check to remain silent.

How sad for our children!
